Course now includes an optional externship program at a community
This comprehensive program is designed to prepare the
student for an entry-level position as a Pharmacy
Technician by introducing the student to the fundamental
information and practices that are necessary to work
within a pharmacy environment. The program will cover
many medical, legal and pharmaceutical aspects in a
concise and practical manner, which will supplement the
required text reading and homework assignments as
determined by the instructor. The goal of the program is
to prepare students to take the National Certification
Examination that is given by the Pharmacy Technician
Certification Board. There is a separate fee for the
examination, which is not included in the tuition.
Requirements for taking the examination are as
follows: HS diploma or GED (bring to first class);
Minimum age of 18; Criminal background check with
no criminal convictions.
The instructor is a
Pharmacist/Educator with many years of experience in
the field of Pharmacy. Tuition includes textbook.

Students have an opportunity to apply for an externship
program with the instructor's recommendation and
assistance. Registration and administrative fees for
externship are not included in the tuition. The instructor
will explain details during the program.
